Every effort should be made to attend the health centre for consultations, where the facilities for examination, investigation, diagnosis and treatment are better than in the home.
Request for visits should be made before 10:00 where possible. The doctors begin their visits around noon and late calls are difficult to arrange because of their afternoon surgeries.
The reception staff will ask you to explain the nature of your problem as precisely as you can as this helps us to plan the visits and for us to see the most urgent cases first.
Please remember that home visits are for the genuinely housebound and those too ill to go out. Babies and children can generally be brought to the surgery.
